How It Works

Four steps from raw telemetry to actionable driver coaching.

01

Load Your Laps

Import CSV telemetry from Wintax, Windarab, or MoTeC. Channel mapping is auto-detected with manual override.

02

Configure Segments

Choose equal distance segments or automatic corner detection. Edit segments manually for fine control.

03

Get Your Ideal Lap

See the constructed ideal lap with a breakdown of which segment came from which lap, plus total time delta.

04

Import Back & Compare

Export the ideal lap as CSV and import it into your telemetry software to overlay against real laps.

100% offline — your data never leaves your machine

Smart CSV Detection

Auto-detects channel mappings from Wintax, Windarab, and MoTeC.

Handles multiple time formats and unit systems automatically. When needed, you can manually override channel mappings in the configuration panel for custom logger setups.

Corner Detection

Automatic segmentation using lateral G-force analysis.

Requires lateral G channel in your telemetry. Configurable thresholds and noise filtering help with accurate corner identification. If G-force data isn't available, use equal segments instead.

Track Visualization

Racing line display with segment highlighting.

GPS is optional. When GPS coordinates are available, you'll see the track layout. Without GPS, the track layout can be reconstructed using Speed, Lateral Acceleration, and Yaw Rate channels.

Export Results

Export your calculated ideal lap as CSV.

The exported CSV can be imported back into Wintax, Windarab, or MoTeC to overlay the ideal lap against actual laps for visual comparison and driver coaching.

Flexible Segmentation

Equal-distance or automatic corner detection with manual editing.

Start with automatic detection, then fine-tune segment boundaries manually. The interactive editor lets you drag boundaries, split, or merge segments until they match exactly what you want to analyze.

Cross-Platform

Native desktop application for macOS and Windows.

Lightweight native app that runs on both macOS and Windows. No browser required, no internet connection needed. Your telemetry data stays on your machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I load single laps or multiple laps? +
Both. You can load individual lap files separately, or load a single file containing multiple laps. When loading multi-lap files, the app detects lap boundaries automatically using distance resets or a lap number channel if available.
Do I need a specific CSV format? +
No. The app auto-detects delimiter (comma or semicolon), decimal separator, and time formats. Just try loading your file first. If it fails, use a standard format: comma-separated values with period (.) for decimals.
What channels are required? +

Required:

  • Lateral G-force (for segmentation and corner detection)

Optional:

  • Time (reconstructed from sampling frequency if missing)
  • Distance (calculated from Speed × dt if missing)
  • GPS coordinates (for track visualization)
  • Speed + Yaw Rate (alternative track reconstruction without GPS)
What's the difference between segmentation methods? +
Equal Segments divides the lap into N equal-distance parts—simple and consistent. Automatic Corner Detection uses lateral G-force analysis to identify corners and creates segments based on actual track features. Corner detection is more meaningful for analysis but requires good telemetry quality.
What telemetry platforms are supported? +
Tested with Wintax, Windarab, and MoTeC CSV exports. Any platform that exports CSV telemetry with the required channels can work—channel names are mapped manually if not auto-detected.
